About
wewantawindfarm.org was set up in order to counter the very dangerous campaigns against windfarms in the coastal Essex villages of Bradwell, Tillingham and Southminster. The name “We want a Wind Farm” was given to us by a resident of Tillingham who was “sick to death with the Battle BullyBoys heavy handed approach to the wind farm.”
wewantawindfarm.org is intended to be an informative and easy-to-read guide on what anyone can do to reduce their impact on the environment.
It is fantastic to see other pro wind people out there taking on the often misleading and factually incorrect material used by the windy nimby’s – well done to you all. Sustainable Energy Alliance (SEA), based in north Wales has been around for 5 years now and we are proud to be pro wind. Here’s to more wind farms and less nimbyism !!!

Seconding Jonathan – it’s always good to see pro-renewables people get organised locally! We’ve got an active database of renewables supporters on our site – you might find some new support there, if you’d like to try it out. We’ve also got some useful guides for supporters in our ‘Campaigns’ section.
Best of luck,
Adam
